Writing Test at your US Citizenship Interview
The writing test at the citizenship interview focuses on civics and history topics. The USCIS Officer will ask you to write up to three sentences. You must write one out of three sentences correctly to prove your ability to write in English.
Once you write one of three sentences correctly, the USCIS Officer will stop administering the writing test. You could not be failed because of spelling, capitalization, or punctuation errors unless the errors would confuse the meaning of the sentence.
